::FIAF make an approach with the IADB::

The General Secretary of the Iberian American Franchise Federation – FIAF, Ricardo Camargo, participated as an invited of the  IADB (Inter-American Development Bank) of the 1st Meeting of the Project Franchise Cluster, realized in Medellin, Colombia, from April 27th to 29th, 2009.

Ricardo Camargo made a presentation about the overview of the franchising in the world.

In this occasion, Camargo had the opportunity of knowing the development Project developed in Colombia by the Medellin Commerce Chamber and the IADB, which throughout the FOMIN (Fund for Multilateral Investments) contemplate an investment of 1.4 million dollars, and result in the last three years in the opening of 132 franchise businesses in the country.

The Colombian model contributed for the development of franchise projects in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Brazil. In Brazil the focus of acting are the dekasseguis. According Ricardo, `the event was a great opportunity for knowing how the franchise sector can contribute for the development of a country. `.
